António Trabulo, a retired neurosurgeon, began his literary career in 2003 and dedicates himself primarily to historical fiction.

He has published several books, including "Retornados" (Returnees), which earned him the "Fialho de Almeida" Fiction Prize in 2009, awarded by the Portuguese Society of Medical Writers and Artists.
