Katrin Herget is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages ​​and Cultures at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. She teaches Specialized Translation, Translation Technologies, and Languages ​​for Specific Purposes. She is an integrated member of the Research Centre for Languages, Literatures and Cultures (CLLC). Since March 2022, she has been the Director of the PhD Program in Translation and Terminology (a joint program with NOVA University Lisbon) at the University of Aveiro. Her research interests include Specialized Translation, Translation Technologies, Languages ​​for Specific Purposes, and Contrastive Linguistics.

João Paulo Silvestre holds a degree in Language Teaching (Portuguese, Latin, and Greek) from the University of Aveiro, where he also obtained his doctorate in Linguistics. During his doctoral studies, he investigated modern Portuguese lexicography, with a particular focus on interlinguistic contact in the 18th century. Subsequently, he conducted postdoctoral research in the area of ​​the history of Portuguese linguistics and taught lexicology, morphology, and lexicography at the University of Lisbon. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the University of Aveiro. He coordinates the teaching of Portuguese as a Foreign Language and the PhD program in Language Sciences. Research interests: Lexicology, lexicography and corpus linguistics; history of the Portuguese language and historical linguistics; linguistic historiography.

Rute Costa is a Full Professor at NOVA FCSH. She teaches undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses in Terminology, Ontologies, and Lexicography, and is the scientific coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Translation and Terminology. She has worked as a visiting professor at several European, Brazilian, and African universities. She is the director of the Linguistics Center at NOVA University Lisbon (CLUNL) and coordinates the Lexicology, Lexicography, and Terminology group, also collaborating with the Digital Humanities Lab. She actively participates in nationally and internationally funded projects (FP7, Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, ERASMUS+, and FCT) and in various COST Actions, holding coordination positions. She has extensive experience in terminological standardization, having chaired international and national subcommittees.

Teresa Alegre is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages ​​and Cultures at the University of Aveiro since 1991 and an integrated member of the Centre for Languages, Literatures and Cultures (CLLC) at the University of Aveiro. She holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Languages ​​and Literatures. She has a PhD in Didactics (2001) from the University of Aveiro, with a thesis on Pedagogical Translation and Linguistic Awareness.

She teaches German, Translation Theory and Methodology at the undergraduate level; Translation of Specialized Texts from German to Portuguese and Specialized Languages ​​in the Master's program in Specialized Translation; Specialized Translation in the Doctoral Program in Translation and Terminology; and Contrastive Linguistics in the Doctoral Program in Language Sciences. She supervises master's dissertations and doctoral theses in the areas of Translation, Language Sciences and Language Didactics.

She has been the director of the Master's program in Specialized Translation since 2011. Her current research interests include specialized translation, translation education, the translation process, German-Portuguese contrastive analysis, and linguistic awareness. She has published articles in these areas in national and international journals, participated in national and international conferences, and organized conferences and other scientific events.

Abdelilah Suisse holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature (1993) from the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University of Fez, Morocco, and a Master's degree in Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Lisbon (2000). In 1999, he successfully completed the Specialization Course leading to the University Diploma in Teacher Training in Portuguese as a Second Language at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. He holds a PhD in Education, specializing in Teaching Methodology and Curriculum Development, from the University of Aveiro (2016), where he has taught since 2003.

He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Aveiro and currently serves on the Council and Scientific Committee of the Department of Languages ​​and Cultures, also holding the position of Director of the undergraduate course in Languages ​​and Business Relations at the same university. As a researcher, he is an integrated member and, at the same time, Vice-Coordinator of the Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures (CLLC). He participated in scientific projects at both national and international levels.
